Janet the Baptist!?!

I decided to climb a 'steeper' mountain this morning and was elated to see a blanket of clouds over Phoenix. This makes it so much cooler.... 80's on a summer morning in Phoenix, though not ideal, is gratefully invited.

Well, I realized the mountain was doing it's job when my..uh, I mean... I was feeling some burning in some certain unnamed places. =) (Pain is welcome, as long as results accompany it)

Well, it made me think of a conversation I'd once had with my younger sister Christine. I once told her to do something difficult, anything... maybe even something that hurt or something she thought she couldn't - just to see if she could. Who knew maybe she'd surprise herself... well, she did! I guess I've found that often the things which seem sooo extremely difficult (maybe almost impossible for us to do) bring the greatest fulfillment when we realize that with hard work, dedication and determination, we've accomplished them.
I'm not sure Jake was feeling the same way... haha, he found some brush at the top and laid under the cool earth below it. Haha.. and now he's crashed out while I write this. (Well, when there are no shade trees, ya gotta' use what's there. A dog's gotta'
do what a dog's gotta' do!)

Well, on my way down, I heard some locusts, and spotted a few as well. The only thought that came to my mind was that... well, it was a good thing that God did not select 'Janet the Baptist,' because the whole of the human race would have suffered without my experience, as I would have chosen an early demise as opposed to eating such disgusting creatures - with or without honey! Sorry! Some things aren't worth trying! :-/

Have a great day!!
P.s. Do people really read these blogs? Hmm...

Oh, yes, please call Animal Control, I'm sure they'll take me away in a jiffy after they see all the scratches I have on my arm, which doubles as rawhide, for some unnamed K-9. Hehe!!

Thanks for the nice emails. I just got back last night from spending 2 weeks at our church in Cartagena, Colombia. My mind is whirling with allllll I have to do: packing for the USA and packing up our whole house and moving, plus having company, but Jesus is going to help me get 'er all done! =)

I'll email you!
Love ya,
